We understand that as a raw foodist you to dedicate a tremendous amount of prep time to maintain your diet and these hand selected recipes are designed to provide you with some easy solutions.
Raw food tacos A raw food diet consists of eating only raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, none of which are ever heated above 105 degrees F. More than just carrot/celery sticks and salads, raw food is a movement about eating living foods and living well. Raw food recipes include pastas, cakes, cookies, and much more, all made from real, living foods. Some equipment you typically need when preparing some of these raw food recipes include a blender, a juicer, a food processor, a coffee grinder and a dehydrator.

Stocking your raw food kitchen. Stocking your raw food kitchen is probably one of the toughest parts of the raw food lifestyle. For most people, it takes time to develop and understanding of what the raw food staple ingredients are. Unfortunately many raw fooders get overwhelmed by the recipes that call for ingredients they don’t have on hand or have not even heard of. Stocking a raw food kitchen typical includes keeping around the following staples. Seeds – Such as pumpkin, sunflower, or chia seeds; Basic nuts including almonds, walnuts or pecans; Creamy nuts including cashews or macadamia nuts; Sea salt; Spices such as Cinnamon, Italian spices, Curry powder, Cumin, and Cayenne pepper; Olive oils; Apple cider vinegar; Garlic; Flax seeds; A concentrated natural sweetener like agave nectar or stevia; Nori rolls; Fruits and vegetables such as dates, bananas, apples, avocados, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions.

Easy Raw Food Recipes

Raw Food Stuffed Mushrooms
¼ cup pine nuts
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup chopped tomato
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp Braggs
¼ cup fresh chopped cilantro
¼ cup fresh chopped basil

Except the tomatoes, add all above ingredients into a food processor, and pulse chop several times. Scrape down the sides and repeat a few times. Add the tomatoes and continue to pulse chop until just blended. Remove stems from mushrooms and stuff the filling into the cap of the mushroom. Place on a dehydrator sheet and dehydrate at 105 degrees for about 3 hours.
Raw Food Veggie Burgers
3 carrots
1 small head cauliflower
1 large red onion
1 large bell pepper
1 large stalk broccoli
¼ cup soaked sesame seeds
5 cloves garlic
1 cup soaked almonds
1 cup soaked sunflower seeds
2 tbsp Braggs
2 tbsp fresh Cilantro
1 tbs cumin

Blend all of the above ingredients and seasonings in a juicer or us a food processor instead. The blended food becomes your patty mixture. Form and put half inch thick patties on a teflex sheet and place the trays in dehydrator. Dehydrate at 105 degrees for 10 hours or until the desired texture is obtained, check ever hour or so. After 4 hours, flip the burgers and remove teflex sheets then continue to dehydrate for another 5 hours or until desired moisture is obtained once again.
Raw Apple Raisin Cookies
2 Fuji apples
2 cup soaked sunflower seeds
1 cup soaked walnuts
½ cup honey dates
2 large bananas
1 tbs cinnamon
1 cup raisins
1 tbs vanilla

Process the sunflower seeds, bananas, apples, and dates through a Juicer using the solid plate. You can alos use a food processor if needed. In a large bowl, mix the dough with vanilla, raisins, walnuts and cinnamon. Then. spoon dough on a dehydrator tray on a teflex sheet, forming it into round cookies. Dehydrate at 105 degrees F for 5 hours and turn the cookies over and remove teflex sheet. Continue dehydrating for another 5 hours, or until desired moisture is obtained.
Raw Food Apple Pie Recipe
1 tbsp carob powder
1 banana
6 apples peeled and cored
1½ cups sunflower seeds
¾ cup raisins
¾ cup raw, unfiltered honey
juice from ½ lemon
½ cup shredded coconut
1 tbsp Cinnamon

To make the apple pie crust, place the sunflower seeds, raisins and carob powder in a food processor and process until it is finely ground and mixture sticks together. Line a 9 inch pie pan with the mixture and form a crust. Then, take the apples, and pulse chop them into small pieces. In a large mixing bowl, mix the chopped apples, lemon juice, cinnamon and honey and dash of cloves together. Once done, scoop the mixture into the pie crust. You will want to save the juice that remains and drizzle it over pie when being served. Level out with a spatula and sprinkle on Coconut flakes on top of the mixture. Then, cut the bannana into thin slices and place on the top of the coconut flakes in the center of the pie. Place in refrigerator for 1 hour to allow the pie to set.
Raw Food Energy Bar Recipe
2 cup soft sprouted wheat
1 cup soaked barley
¾ cup dates
3 tbsp raw honey
1 tbs vanilla
½ soaked and chopped cup almonds
1 cup soaked and chopped walnuts
1 tbs cinnamon

Process the wheat, barley and dates in a juicer using the solid plate. Add the honey, vanilla, cinnamon, walnuts and almonds and mix it well. Form the mixture into bars and place them on a teflex sheet in the dehydrator for 8 hours check every so often to achieve the desired moisture and size. Halfway through the degydration process, remove the teflex sheet and turn bars over.
